Young People Launching a Career with NB TIP!

The North Bay Trades Introduction Program, which prepares people for construction apprenticeships, celebrated its 29th graduating class December 20, 2024. This class was the largest cohort yet of nearly 10 years of operation for NB TIP, a state registered pre-apprenticeship program.

The event, with about 80 in attendance (including 24 of 28 graduates) was hosted at the UA Local 38 Plumbers and Steamfitters facility in Santa Rosa, and featured speakers including NB TIP staff, Santa Rosa’s inspirational incoming Vice Mayor Eddie Alvarez, and elected student speaker Brian Sears, who may very well become a paid Boilermaker apprentice by the time this story is published.

More than just a class, NB TIP is a non-profit affiliated with the North Bay Building and Construction Trades Council, working to serve communities in six North Bay counties, conducting its trainings around the area to do so.

Our next class will start in late January in Novato. Anyone Interested can register online at www.learnaconstructionjob.org by January 15, 2025, to learn more through an orientation meeting and decide if this may be for you.
