Local 8 was chartered on August 30, 1902, by the International Union of Elevator Constructors (IUEC). Our jurisdiction was determined to be the entire state of California north of the Tehachapi line and the area lying west of the 118 Meridian, West longitude within the state of Nevada. We are proudly serving our community for over 100 years. We fight for hard-working families.
